DNR Announces Public Auction for Grays Harbor County Trust Land Parcels

Proceeds from Auction Used to Acquire Income-Producing Lands to Benefit Schools, Local Services 

The public is invited to an auction of state trust lands on August 14, 2025. The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will auction three parcels of land in Westport. The Land Bank parcels will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with an opening bid of $429,000.  

Auction Property Legal Descriptions: 

Parcel A: 

Lots 9 through 14 inclusive, Block 29, Town of Peterson, as per plat recorded in Volume 1 of Plats, Pages 41 and 42, Records of Grays Harbor County; Together with that portion of Vacated alley and Pine Street vacated by Grays Harbor Superior Court Cause No. 90-2-00753-3; and those portions of Vacated Hoquiam Street and alley vacated by Grays harbor Superior Court Cause No. 55660, situate in the County of Grays Harbor, State of Washington. 

Parcel B: 

Lots 1 through 6 inclusive, Block 30, Town of Peterson, as per plat recorded in Volume 1 of Plats, Pages 41 and 42, Records of Grays Harbor County; Together with that portion of Vacated alley and Pine Street vacated by Grays Harbor Superior Court Cause No. 90-2-00753-3; and those portions of Vacated Hoquiam Street and alley vacated by Grays harbor Superior Court Cause No. 55660, situated in the County of Grays Harbor, State of Washington. 

Parcel C: 

Lots 16 through 18 inclusive, Block 30, Town of Peterson, as per plat recorded in Volume 1 of Plats, Pages 41 and 42, Records of Grays Harbor County; Together with those portions of Vacated Hoquiam Street and alley vacated by Grays harbor Superior Court Cause No. 55660, situated in the County of Grays Harbor, State of Washington.
