Teanaway Community Forest Advisory Committee

The Teanaway Community Forest Advisory Committee provides advice to the Washington State departments of Natural Resources (DNR) and Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) concerning the ongoing management and recreation planning for the Teanaway Community Forest. The committee represents the interests of governments, communities, partners, and stakeholder groups reflecting the priorities of the broad cross-section of Washingtonians who cherish the forest. When the overall management plan for the Teanaway Community Forest was finalized in 2015, two years after the Legislature first established the community forest, the agencies and the advisory committee agreed that more time was needed for recreation planning. For that reason, the 2015 plan did not prescribe detailed management approaches but identified broad goals for recreation. In December 2018, the agencies and committee completed the Teanaway Community Forest Recreation Plan (Page 75) to serve as a supplement to the Teanaway Community Forest Management Plan. The committee meets on a quarterly basis.
